The AWE Start-Up Challenge is an initiative driven by the AMFCE, in collaboration with the US-Embassy, towards the implementation of the U.S. State Department’s “Academy of Women Entrepreneurs” (AWE) program in Mauritius. Initiated in June 2021, the AWE Start-Up Challenge is a capacity-building cum mentoring program, involving aspiring entrepreneurs as participants and established entrepreneurs as handholders. The goal is to enable the start-ups to successfully take the leap! Online training is being provided, via the DreamBuilder platform, and simultaneously, workshops are being held to contextualize the online trainings. Handholders will also be working hand-in-hand with the aspiring entrepreneurs to help them establish their business and develop their products.
